Why would a news server move, take, moderate, posts on a news group.
perhaps you should check your "delete" settings.
click on "message" in the top header, then rule for message, and clear
everything except "where the form line contains people"

Rosie
It wasn't
Check your news reader settings to see if it is only showing the
last X days
The oldest message I have on the server is 753 days old

BT skimp on retention on their servers if that is where you are
looking

try looking for free news servers with a google seacrch

www.usenetserver.com does a good one

MIght be a glitch on your end, I can still view the whole thread. Mind
you I log into it through cichlidfish, and not via the newsgroups.

Thank you all of you for you replies. I don't really know why it did this,
the thread has now completely vanished, yet at the same time I can still
access posts from 20th April (Pike disappeared etc). Maybe I will try
accessing from google or cichlidfish.com.
Regards, Rosie
