Well, the verdict is in. They HATE peas. My biggest problem the last few
days has been chasing fuzzy, uneaten peas around the bottom of the tank with
a net.

Did you blanche them in hot water, to soften them, and sqeeze them to burst
the skin?

No, I didn't blanch them. I'll try that. Maybe only one or two peas to
start. I did pop them out of the skins. There's something very satisfying
about the way they pop out. =) Should I blanch before or after I burst the
skin?

I take it we are talking about common garden peas here :)

Put two or three of the individual round peas in a metal sieve and put them
into hot water till they are soft, then give them a squeeze so that the
inside is coming out. If you have had 'mushy peas' you will know what I
mean, then drop them into the tank, after they have cooled a little of
course :)
