I seem to have "inherited" a Malawi cichlid tank (long story!).

Can anyone help me identify just what sort they are?

Thanks for any help

I'm not a pro, bear that in mind.

a) with no certainty, could be a Maylandia Estherae (red zebra) ob morph
b) possibly a Labeotropheus Trewavasae mc morph. could also be
Fuelleborni as they're somewhat difficult to distinguish between.
c) Melanochromis Johanii
d) Likely a Labidochromis Caeruleus
e) difficult to tell from the photo. shot in the dark would be another
trewavasae/fuelleborni.
f) no idea.
g) no idea.
e) Melanochromis Auratus.

Agree with c - have 3 myself. e is probably right as well.

With d - do they have any black on their fins? Could be yellow labs
g - look like what was sold to me as Maylandia Lombardi...

A good place to look is:-

Like I suggested, Labidochromis Caeruleus - yellow labs. :)
I'm not as used to `Americanized' pseudonymes, so I use the `scientific'
name - less confusion. E.g. 'round here, they'd usually be refered to as
"golden spec's".
