We would like to invite all persons interested in ponding to
join us for friendly, social, and informative ponding discussions.

RPM has just been created, so it may take a few days to a week to
propagate to all the many different news service providers world-wide.
If your nsp does not yet carry rpm, please ask them to do so, and then
subscribe to it.
It may also be carried by google groups but there is a possible
technical difficulty. (There is currently a google group called
rec.ponds.moderated. That group is completely separate from, and has
nothing at all to do with our new usenet newsgroup).

We also ask you to help us by "telling a friend" or two. There
are perhaps hundreds of old "rec.ponders" out there who need to be
contacted and invited back. And probably just as many newcomers to
the hobby who need, and would enjoy, a place to share and discuss
ponds, plants, and "fishies".

RPM is moderated. All discussions must be civil and on-topic.
Crossposting is limited to any of 5 other pre-selected aquatic
groups. Messages that contain crossposts to other groups will be
rejected.
Messages that are off-topic, inflammatory or abusive in any way
will be rejected.
What you _will_ read will be pleasant, uplifting, relaxing
and informative.
It's a new day! Please join us as soon as you can!

If you have any questions, you can send an email to
rpm-admin@stump.algebra.com or you can email me directly at
rons515@localnet.com

Wow... I, wow. Doesn't that stink, what with your moderate to heavy use of
the rec.aquaria.* hierarchy? I could never stand wading through all that
chaff without my usenet filters and kill-files...

> How would one go about getting their then?

1. Go to www.download.com, and get the (free) software Xnews.

2. Contact your internet service provider for their Usenet server names

3. Enter those server names into the Xnews setup, and get off of Google.

Google Groups for Usenet is really only ever good as an archive resource,
direct link or not.

If you use the Thunderbird mail reader it can also be configured as a
newsreader, and even Outlook and Outlook Express.

Anything (even OE) is better then using the Google interface.

Hierarchy?
I don't have any hierarchy on any rec.aquaria group. What are you
talking about?
