I have a 29 Gal freshwater aquarium and my fish do great. I had three
angels.
One day one of my angel fish just quit eating and kind of just
sat there and
didn't really swim around. The other two were still doing
great. A few days
later I found him at the bottom of the tank dead. I
just figured he went on a
hunger strike and starved to death.
Stubborn. About a week later another one
of my angels started doing
the same thing. They ignore stuff and aren't even
hungry. When I
tried to net him he is still quick and active but as soon as I
quit
he's back to his weird state. All he does is float and open and close
his
mouth rather quickly. Whats the deal?

We'd have to know more to help. How old are these fish. What is the PH and
Hardness of your water? Have you been doing partial water changes? How
about a varied diet? Are they getting chilled now that winter is here?

Here are some parameters to check and what is recommended:
*Ammonia/nitrites- 0
*Nitrates- under 50 ppm
*pH- stable (stability is more important than chasing numbers here)
*KH- 50 ppm + (this is important for pH stability)
*GH- 100 ppm+ (this is important for osmoregulation which can manifest
itself in swim bladder problems that cause floating)

As already asked, please add your cleaning and feeding schedule too.
