Do you know, is it possibile to use a newsreader like agent with
google groups?

I am signed up on the google group but I don't like the web format. I
have been using agent for over 12 years and I prefer a newsreader.

I continue to lurk here, I don't know why, but I'm about to give up.

Sorry, you can't. Google-created Groups are exclusive to Google.

Me, too.

Meh. Its a light traffic group, if you choose to killfile those who post
off-topic. It won't attract many new participants, what with the high
"signal to noise" ratio, though...

You have to killfile them again and again because they keep changing
names.

This group is a long walk for a small drink of water.
