Please log in for more thread options Algae helps eliminate nitrate, I personally think it is good. It means you
have a healthy tank.
If you have plants in the tank, they will fight for food (nitrate) with
algae and you will have less algae problem.
Also, don't turn on the light more than 8 hours a day.
