Please log in for more thread options Anyone keep them or had one? They are kind of neat IMHO...... I always
looked at them as being eels but they are not an eel nor are they in
the eel family from what I read. They are stranage though, but pretty
darn docile. They fit in great in a Mbuna tank.....Its neat seeing
them hanging there with their heads out of a hollow tree trunk or rock
cave like a moray eel.........MIne has grown about 4" since I got it,
and it loves krill or shrimp pellets, but eats just about anything
that it can find before the cichlids find it. Just about impossible to
net......and I find the ebst way to get it out of a tank if ned be is
a green 7up plastic soda bottle with food in it. Place on the tank
suybstrate and watch and wait. Eventually it will enter the bottle and
he is as good as caught then......I tie on a piece of monofiliament
fishing line on the neck and pull it up when its in the bottle.
Hopefully where its at now is permanent so no more trapping of the
fish is needed.
