Hi
Is there any type of pleco/cory that would be safe with and from
goldfish...something that is 10-15 cm at the biggest...to suit a heated ph7
198 gallon tank?

I need something different in there....
Cheers

Just about any pl*co will be fine with goldfish with the exception of
some of the more expensive ones that might not tolerate cold
temperatures as well. You say your tank is heated - be careful with
that. You can do it (I have) but if you don't have a good source of
aeration high temps will stress your goldfish, they like 68 F temps or
thereabouts.

A common pl*co will get bigger than 10-15 cm but not for a while - they
grow fast up to about 6" and then slow down quite a bit so you might
consider just getting one of them with the idea that in a little over a
year or two you might need to either get a bigger tank or trade him in
to the LFS for store credit. If you don't want to do that then a Clown
Pl*co will work well since they don't get very big and are fairly
cheap. There are many other types of small pl*cos and most will do well
under your conditions.

Go to your LFS and any pl*co that is less than $20 will probably do
just fine - anything that costs more than that will probably need
special considerations.

I don't think that's right. Plecos will suck the slime on GF.

PLecos will only go after fish if they are not being fed well enough. Also
they usually only do this when bigger.

I kept a pl*co with a lionhead and two black moors and never had a
single problem. They liked eachother quite a bit. While it may be
possible for a pl*co to go after a goldfish I don't think it would
happen unless the conditions in the tank were much less than optimal.
In fact I've never seen a pl*co go after any fish. The most aggressive
thing my pl*co has ever done is nose other fish out of the way when
they were trying to steal his algae wafer.
