I cant for the life of me right now remember the name of the plants I have
in my female betta tank, if I get time ill take a pic, but is there
something I can do to help the plants not die, they don't look great, I am
not going to be home a lot of the next couple days my brother killed him
self on Wednesday, he was my middle son's godfather so I been busy trying to
keep the kids occupied.
pieces of the plants are coming off and I don't want to come home and find
all my fish gone because my filter got clogged from plant leaves, PS... I
did not do nothing to kill these plants, they said they grow easy just plant
them in the tank under gravel ...and I did that. should I be adding
something to the water, and if you need to know what kind of plants I mean I
will try to figure it out later and post it. they were nothing big just 1.99
plants for my bettas to hide in, which i think they may be eating, maybe
that is the problem
nik
PS...If i dont get the chance in the next couple days... i wanted to tell
everyone I hope they have a nice holiday

I'm so sorry to hear that. Get Flourish Excel and the other fertilizers
they sell. They really do make a difference and use plenty of light for at
least 12 hrs a day.

It's hard to suggest anything not knowing the names of the plants.

Bettas don't bother or eat plants.

======================
Both of these plants are heavy feeders that do better in hard alkaline water
than in soft acid water. Both need good but not excessive light. I
couldn't even keep hornwart alive in NYC were the water was PH 6.8 and soft
(can't recall the exact numbers). The water was from snowmelt in the
Mountains.

Oh, I found a small piece of LIVING hornwart in one of the tanks!!!! :-)))
I'm watching it carefully to see if it makes a comeback.
