Please log in for more thread options I fed them a few frozen peas. I put them in a dish of water, and took
the shells off. They really seemed to enjoy the peas.

Yeah, they do.
With other tropicals, shelled peas are fed to help with constipation.
I'm not sure how often goldies should be fed them.

Use frozen peas, dampen in water and squeeze between your thumb and
forefinger to deskin.

Why does everyone like to feed a laxative to their
fish............there is beter alternatives than peas that does not
involve eating a laxative. How many of you would feed your kids Ex Lax
just because they like chocolate?

Please log in for more thread options because most people are feeding species inappropriate food to fish and it binds
them
up, it rots in their gut. no need for peas when feeding zooplankton or chopped
up
something that comes out of ponds, lakes or oceans.
it is also a quantity thing. when feeding cheap commercial food there is so
little
nutrition that people are directed to overfeed their fish. with appropriate food
fish are fantastic "converters" can turn 2 lbs of food into 1 lb of fish. Ingrid
