such scaredy cats! They are so very shy! Why do they sit on the bottom?
Sometimes he swims, but then he goes right back down to the bottom and
sits stock still. It's like he's dead.

Corydoras are actually "schooling" fish.
They should really be kept in groups.
When they are, they become quite lively. They'll swim up and down the
sides of the tank, like ducks in a row.
Then they'll hang out in the shadows for a while..then go bonkers at
feeding time.
They're pretty fun really. You aren't seeing this because you don't
have a school of them.
Your tank/s are much too small to do that, so that's not an option for
you now.
There are miniature cories, (I've had them many times) called Pygmy
Cories. Too cute.
They must be kept in schools, and don't hang at the bottom!
They even school together and hang out in a group, in the mid level of
the tank.
When resting, they like to "perch" on branches or driftwood. They are
about the cutest cories there are!
