There is a contagious bacterial ulcer disease of goldfish and koi that is
almost untreatable. It seems to be immune to everything. Do a Google on
goldfish+disease+bacterial, goldfish+ulcers or something similar and you
will see what I mean. I just returned several Lionheads that developed it
within days of purchase. They were still in the quarantine tank or it could
have spread to my whole collection. I returned them for a complete refund.
Never add new fish to your established tank. Quarantine them for at least
14 days or you can add more than the new fish and sorely regret it.
