Hi.

I have a 200G with two mounted 250W 20K MH. Looks really cool with
these..the bluish white hue is awesome.

Can I just leave these 20K,s or do I need to do anything about the lighting?
I have some anemones but no corals yet.. everything seems fine so far- the
yellow light looks nowhere near as good..

Thanks,
Ajay

Hello Ajay:

Lighting requirements are totally dependent on what you plan on keeping
in your tank, and the depth of your tank. 20K halides are good for
maintaining good coloration in many hard corals. As a general response
however, 20K halides should be adequate for most light-requiring
organisms as long as you tank is not too deep.
