OK I spent most of the day setting up my deep sand bed,,I have about 3.5
inches I hope thats enough I think I will get more live sand in the morning.
Well wish me luck I hope this 200 bucks in sand was not a waste!

3" is usually the minimum as far as I've heard. So you should be ok.

well the tank is all clear and I have to say I do Like the look of the sand
I just hope it works, I topped the top off with about 20 lbs of live sand .
is that enough? its in a 72 gal tank

Yeah, that should be enough. I think that the more LS you put on, the
faster your whole sand bed becomes live, but 20# will start it.

What sand exactly do you have on your mind when you say "live sand"?
The one packed in a plastic bag, maybe? Just curious...
