A few days ago I went downstairs to feed the fish and my coral beauty
and sailfin tang went beserk all over the tank. The pyjama cardinals and
ocellaris didn't look too happy either. I stood there, moving on
occasion though, watching and trying to think what could be wrong. After
about a minute both were hiding in the rocks and you could almost see
them shaking and panting. I found the tang's hidey hole and moved closer
and the poor thing backed away further laying on it's side. They were
scared of me!

After another minute or so feeling scared myself of what was going on I
realized I was dressed in an ancient South Park t-shirt that had
belonged to my brother. The shirt is black and the figures are mostly
white and orange (only a farm shirt). I hadn't worn it since having the
fish. I went upstairs and changed into a plain coloured shirt and when I
went back down the fish all came "flying" over for a feed as if nothing
had happened. Never thought I'd have fish decide what I wear :)

It would be cool if you sometime repeat this experiment
to add a little more of the scientific value to this observation.

p.s. I would like to see your picture wearing that t-shirt ;-)

Yep, they didn't recognize you with what you were wearing.
It's also possible that they don't like someone that
dressed like that before.

How could fish "not like" someone?? I sincerely doubt they have likes and
dislikes of people.
Maybe the color combination reminded them of a large predator?
