The leather opened up a little today and we can see some necrotic areas. I
think there may be some chemical warfare going on because of the timing of
the problem. We removed the leather to a hospital tank and will see how it
behaves in the next couple of days. I guess the next step would be to cut
off the damaged areas and keep is separated.
If anyone ever told me a year ago I'd be setting up a hospital tank and
contemplating surgery on a coral I would have thought they were crazy. Now
I can't bear to think this beautiful animal may perish.
