Hi all,

I've got a smallish bubble-tip anemone that got partially eaten by a
chocolate-chip star. Basically the main body is intact, but the
tentacles are nearly all gone. The anemone is still moving around the
tank at times (right now hanging off the back side of the tank near the
water line) and will contract, etc. The anemone is in my hospital tank
right now, along with a couple black perculas that seem quite fond of it.

My question is how do I take care of a damaged anemone, feeding, etc? It
seems to be fully extending itself for the most part, but I'm worried
about its ability to catch food.

Thanks in advance,

Brandon

Do nothing. You should have left it in the main tank to reduce shock.
Bubbles are quite resilent and will grow their tips back in a couple of
weeks. Feed your tank as you normally do and just keep a watch on it. I
have ones get stuck in impellers before and they bounce right back. BTW
get rid of the Star Fish.....especially CC stars!
