I've just got some live rock from two different local suppliers and both
batches I have lots of little tiny white critters, too small to even see
what they are they scuttle around on the rock, then there was another
guy about 3mm long that looks like a tiny shrimp, but i'm not sure, and
he ate one of the other ones.

Should I be worried about any of these things ?

Sounds like copepods and amphipods. They're a very good thing.

Thanks very much, had a look at that website and yes thats what they look
like. How do I keep them alive as its a new tank with no fish in yet or
are they fairly self sustaining ?

Just keep the water parameters in check. They'll be just fine until
you start adding fish. Many fish will eat them, so I doubt the pods
mind:)

Copepods and amphipods. Harmless and desirable.
