Any tips on a good Mantis Shrimp trapping mechanism or technique?

If you know what rock it is in, and there is not any
sensitive stuff on it, you can prepare some supersaturated
salt water. Dip the rock in there, and the mantis will
come shooting out. Then quickly rinse the rock in normal
salt water.

Thanks, but I don't have a clue as to where it lives. I only have the
circumstantial evidience of several missing peppermint shrimp (no bodies)
and the untimely demise of a Royal Gramma (with no previous distress). -Andy
