Hi,
I would like to share some info about my clownfish with you.

Monday, late in the night, I noticed my pair of clowns
lied eggs on the bathroom tile I placed near their anemone.
Did not took the picture then, but the eggs were orange,
quite bright, uniformly colored and translucent...

Yesterday evening I moved the tile to take a photo.
The female clown was pissed off but I bribed her with food :-)

Here is the link to some of the pictures:
http://www.darmoland.pl/pszemol/Clowns_8_2005/
The ones with 8-11.* pattern are from yesterday.
I have enlarged one of the pictures and decided to count eggs:

I colored every single egg manually in Paintbrush program,
changing the color of my brush with every 20 eggs counted.
Then, I added all colored areas together and came up with
the number of eggs equal to 677. Pretty impressive...

The pictures from Wednesday (8-10.*) were not in focus so
the count I took on them is not as accurate, but I counted
much more eggs, almost 850. I am wondering what could be
the reason for diminishing number of eggs every day...
Could it be some predation ?

Anyway - I was wondering if anybody knows a computer program
I can use to count the eggs on the electronic picture in an
automatic way, without suffering dry eyes from counting dots
one by one ? :-) I tried to modify the picture to make it
black and white, and then count eggs, but the b&w conversion
did not work well on the colors I had on the picture...
I would like to count the eggs when I move them to the
fry tank, but I don't want to exercise my eyes too much ;-)
Any other ideas ?

p.s. I got the rotifers and algae culture running on high gear
in wait for the hatchlings... I am curious how will it work out.

Unfortunately they do not work for some server problem.
Check back some other time. Maybe tomorrow.
Links are correct, server is cheap (free), so that is it failing a lot.

man....get rid of your free server...nothing like people wanting to look at
your success only to be repeatedly denied....
