Hello everyone here ;-)
I am new here ,my English isn't well but i have a prolem/no problem and i
need an etwice...
I found plenaria in my tank, the photos of tank You can see on :

This tank work with out protein skimmer under 4200K Philips Hqi lamp.
AM salt,Tank: 29 X33X6 inch, coral/Si2O4 L.S,14Kg L.R , 3000liters/h-
circulation, one small fish- Amphiprion Clarkii, no feeding, only soft
corals.
My tank is 5 moth old, i don't feed it only every week 5 liters water
change.
As You see i have much of algas and i like them but i am frighting because
every week i see more and more of plenaria- are they dangerous? and what
should i do ...to change this propagation proces if they are danger- meaby
plenaria is not a rison but effect of some mistake in keeping my system i
made....

p.s every coral i have became from a very small part of polyps my friends
(often from 1-2 polips) and they grow/propagate good / and growing still
specialy xenia and zoanthus, clavularia. i have got 3 snales/ 2Xcalcinus
elegans /Sand starfish...

Your tank looks very nice. I did not see any flatworms in your
pictures, but they can be pretty hard to see. If you only have a few, I
would suggest trying to get some Salifert Flatworm Exit. Should work
very well for you.

I had big problems with planaria some years ago, they reproduce very
fast and were taking over the tank. I eventually decided to treat
them chemically with levamisole, this is an antiparasitic drug used in
veterinary medicine, you may be able to get it locally, I don't know.
Sorry can't remember the dose rate I used. Using this compound is
*not* ideal on a reef, the drug kills all nematodes (roundworms) and
that will damage your ecosystem, I'd only do that if you really have
no alternative.

I see there are claims that biological control is possible. That may
be better. See these creatures:
