I have read many postings and several websites on the topic of lighting
for a reef aquarium. However other than mostly opinion of what looks
better, I can not seem to find the answer I need.

For Flourescent Green Star Polyps what is the best light source? I can
only choose between Power Glo or Marine Glo...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Power glo will look nicer in the aquarium. Marine glo is actinic and gives
only blue light spectrum so colors of corals won't get expressed. If you can
combine theese two lamps. If not use only power glo
Power glo will also give more PAR (photosintetic active radiation) per watt
then marine glow which is better for coral growth.
