I just purchased a sealife systems 75 protein skimmer to fit in my
sump. I have a 55 gallon tank. I am having problems getting the air
control valve to work properly. The skimmer came with vague
instructions. It says to turn the value counterclock-wise to allow add
more air. I have to practically take the valve off and am left with
just the hose, if not the collection cup at the top fills up with water
within minutes. Even with the valve off, the cup begins to fill with
white foam which then turns to water, and after an hour the collection
cup is filled with water. Is this normal?
