for a picture of an unknown critter found in my reef tank June 05 (click
on the image to see a higher resolution version of the photo). I've
highlighted the critter to make it easy to see.

It seems to be a worm or slug like thing with a *fuzzy* surface
(eewwwwww). It looks to have the diameter of about a pencil. When
exposed to light, it moves with the speed of a snail to retract into
it's hole.

I have this tank for nearly a year and never seen it before!

Thanks for any ident's

It looks like a young Cowrie. Some have fuzzy or velvety mantles
