I don't think baby brine shrimp lay eggs - only the adult does ;-)

I've found tons of them now, but it looks as if I'll need a kit.

ahhhhhhhhhh well you can get a plastic pop bottle with airstone with
the saltwater and always support it in a tank to get the temperature
required, at a pinch . kits are available but a bit pricey .
