My black molly is churning out babies at an alarming rate. I couldn't sell
or give them away. So as a last resort I put some straight into the garden
pond (cruel, I know) as live food for the goldfish, pondskaters,
water-boatmen, frogs and dragon-fly larvae. That was a month ago and they
are thriving!

Watch out they don't grow enormous and eat your goldfish :)

Black Molly will live in temperatures below the usual tropical fish
tank range. A garden pond will often be quite warm if the are in a
sunny position.
