This spring I saw a few bits of blanket weed in my tank and despite
clearing 90% of it out every few days it keeps coming back.

I now have to clear out several handfuls every 2-3 days or it clutters
the surface and stops the water circulating and even gets into the
filter box.

Any ideas on how to get rid of this damn stuff ??

What's the pH?

Blanket weed likes acid conditions. Put some limestone rocks in the
tank unless you have fish that need acid water. You will still need to
remove the weed for a few more weeks until the pH rises.
