Please log in for more thread options I have noticed a clear slime on my angel fish I guess it must be a fungal
infection but don't know which. It trails of off them like cobwebs. Could
someone please tell me what will be the best thing to treat it. I have got
some maracyn, but would prefer to save it for emergencies.
cheers

I think its velvet, there a gold flakes on one of the fish that I thought
was dust. Will the treatments for it just kill the free swimming parasites,
or will it also treat the infection on my angel fish?
cheers

I think Velvet is what you described, and I think its infectious, so I'd
treat the tank as a whole, just to be on the safe side.

I'm still not sure what it is, there is a clear slime which becomes strands
as it trails of off there bodys. Could it also be body fungus, as I think
velvet is more like ich spots than a slime?
