Cold water to Tropical

Posted by BaBeL FiSh on June 19, 2005, 10:56 am Please log in for more thread options I currently keep 3 gold fish in a large tank. My brother has built a huge pond and I am therefore doing my gold fish a favour by giving them a new home there. I now want to turn this tank into a tropical tank. I will of course, be buying a heater for it. Is there anything else I should do to it before sticking in tropical fish? i.e. any large water changes, water treatments, salts, etc? Any help appreciated. Thanks.
