Posted by Julie on July 31, 2008, 11:00 am Please log in for more thread options I need to buy a new lighting unit for my RIO 180. Bummer as I do not have the receipt and it is only about 15 months into a 24 month warranty! I see that there are T5 units now, although they are more expensive as you also have to buy the dearer tubes as well. Is it worth going down that route? I grow plants, but they have fared OK (not fantastic but OK) so far. I get rather a lot of hair algae so with the stronger lighjt would that be worse?
