Hi Steve,

I have had Juwel unit fail a couple of time and they are just about
impossible to get apart without breaking them up. I did like the idea
of cutting a hole in the top to fit a new unit inside but I have to
wonder if this would weaken the whole unit making it sag!!!

There are some good deals on the internet, I hope you find a suitable
replacement.
