A bit late to comment, but I bought four Clown Loaches last week (because I
like them, not because of our snail problem). It took them a couple of days
to settle in but now I have no snails to be seen... before, well it wasn't a
*huge* problem, but they were kicking about.

It's a great crunching noise they make too when eating snails... :-)

Yours go for algae too? I was starting to think mine were, erm, limp-finned
carnivores... :)

basically anything the can steal, though they are the worst burglars in the
world :-)

CL steals algae wafer, puts it somewhere "safe" and goes back for more.
Other slightly more intelligent CL moves in and steals wafer. etc.

One of my tanks has six, so this crimewave can last for quite a time !

I really must get some more clown loaches. Always a fan of loaches anyway.
