This morning I noticed that one of my Siamese fighting fish was very
swollen. this also happened to a female gourami month ago, a few days before
she died. I have checked the water parameters and there OK.

thanks
Scott

Unfortunately, I sounds as though both of these fish have been affected
by 'Dropsy' - an internal bacterial infection which causes the abdomen
to swell, sometimes with such severity that the scales will protrude.
You may be able to redeem the situation with something like Interpet
Anti Internal Bacteria, but you would need to be quick and have a
certain amount of luck. Its probably worth a try, if only to treat any
other fish who may have caught the infection.

Hope this helps,

Chris
