Hi all,
I am trying to control the ever-growing snail population in my freshwater
tropical aquarium.
My current method is pull out any I can see and drop them in the pond outside.
I am told that clown loaches eat them but mine is either not interested or
unable to keep up.
There are small fish in the tank: platys and tetras so I can't introduce a
large predatory species.
The little rotters compound the issue by breeding and then both of them will
lay eggs.
I suppose ideally I want a species that thrives on snail eggs or an otherwise
harmless water treatment that either kills or stops snails breeding.
Any suggestions?
