One of my tanks has suddenly developed a very pronounced smell. Not to
put too fine a point on it, it smells of stale urine.

I immediately suspected an ammonia spike, but my tests say no. The fish
(various tetras, small barbs, and loaches) don't seem at all bothered,
but I'm still concerned.

The tank is quite heavily planted, and I keep the temperature at around
26'C.

Can anyone offer advice? TIA!

The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I also checked for
ammonia.

The smell seems to have gone now. don't know what was causing it though?
