the middle of my Juwel :-( anyone have a tip for polishing it out? I was
thinking I could use one of those glass polishing sponges.

jewellers rouge is apparantly best (but expensive), I have the same
problem but am waiting unitl I need to strip down the tank before
doing the same

If you can lay your hands on a dremmel or equivalent (about 15 quid
from b and q)it would make the job a lot easier I suspect

here's a tip I picked up about getting rid of algae on the inside of
glass, used an old credit card, I tried it on one my my juewl tanks
and while it doesn't work as well as a razor blade, it does seem to
avoid the trapped grit problems of algae pads
